I just got back from a 2-1/2
week trip to Denver, Colorado, where I attended GIS (geographical
information system) training. It was as interesting trip, with
even more strange weather. Maybe the weather's just following
me around?
Temperatures were in the 60's
when I got there, but a couple of days later they plunged and the
city was hammered with the worst snowstorm of the season. In
one day it piled a ton of snow, which nearly shut everything down.
But it made for great conditions in the mountains! I went out
to Loveland and Breckenridge, where I couldn't find anything like
the great deals available at the Japanese resorts right now.
Well, by the time I left, the
snow had melted off and the temps jumped back up into the 50's, so
everyone there was running around in t-shirts. It was still
freezing, but the Colorado natives loved the weather. That's
when I got out to drive and take some photos outside of town where
there was nothing between me and the rocky mountains but the plains
and farmers' fields.
And Hina wouldn't leave me
alone until I let her type something, so here she goes:
