We were hit with severe thunderstorms last night and the
rain continues today, so we didn't do much. I piddled around on
the computer while a NASCAR Truck race was on TV -- it was SUPPOSED to
be the Talledega Busch race, but they obviously encountered another one
of those undefined "technical problems." Gotta love that
magnificent, time-delayed, not-always-as-advertised entertainment
provided by the American Forces Network (a.k.a. birth control for
television).
I experimented a little using Adobe Photoshop CS to
touch up a couple of photos that had minor technical issues. I
think that it would be easier to demonstrate instead of explaining it:
I used a recent photograph of Hina and one of her friends - the untimely
"before"
shot catches them while they were blinking, but I was able to correct
it with Photoshop in the "after"
photo! Pretty good work, don't you think?
As for the tree stump, I found it in an empty lot
where Huis Ten Bosch (http://english.huistenbosch.co.jp)
dumps stuff when they don't need it anymore. I'm not sure what
I'm going to do with it yet, but I brought it home anyway.
I'll either leave it as is and put it out in the yard or carve and
finish it for display inside.
